Objective: To probe into the relationship of social anxiety disorder and child abuse and trauma.Methods: All clinical samples and nonclinical volunteers were administered with four self-report questionnaires; Child Abuse and Trauma Scale(CAT),EPQ(adult)、Self-Esteem Scale(SES) and Social Anxiety Self-Rating Scale(SAS).64 of them were retested with CAT after 6-8 weeks.Results: CAT,N,E,SES and SAS scores indicated significant correlation(P＜0.001).Average scores of all CAT scores,SES,N,E of the low performance group on SAS were significantly different from the high performance group on SAS(P=0.000).Social anxiety disorder group had high scores than normal group in all CAT scores except punishment(P＜0.05).SES,E,N,emotional abuse,sexual abuse entered the regression equation in turn.Conclusion: Emotional abuse,sexual abuse are important contributing factors to social anxiety disorder.
