8-13岁儿童关于能力与热情的内隐性别刻板印象

摘要:

目的:考察8-13岁儿童关于能力与热情的内隐性别刻板印象的发展。方法:以235名8-13岁儿童为被试,采用反应/不反应联想测验(Go/no-go Association Test,GNAT)考察其关于能力与热情的内隐性别刻板印象。结果:①从总体上来说,8-13岁的儿童持有男生低热情,女生高能力高热情的内隐性别刻板印象。②8-9岁组和10-11岁组男生仅认为男生高能力,12-13岁组男生认为男生高能力女生低能力。但男生不存在关于热情的内隐性别刻板印象。③8-9岁组和10-11岁组女生表现出男生低能力低热情、女生高热情的内隐性别刻板印象,而12-13岁组女生表现出男生低能力低热情、女生高能力高热情的内隐性别刻板印象。结论:8-13岁儿童关于能力与热情的内隐性别刻板印象与成人不一致,且男生和女生在8-13岁期间持有的关于能力与热情的内隐性别刻板印象的发展趋势不尽相同。

Objective: To investigate the implicit gender stereotypes on warmth and competence in children.Methods: A total of 235 children from 8 to 13 years participated in the current research.The Go/no-go Association Test (GNAT) was used to examine children's implicit gender stereotypes on competence and warmth dimensions.Results: ① Children held the implicit gender stereotypes on low warmth of boys and high competence and warmth of girls.② Boys with 8-9 and 10-11 years held the implicit gender stereotypes on high competence of boys,and boys with 12-13 years held the implicit gender stereotypes on high competence of boys and low competence of girls.③ Girls with 8-9 and 10-11 years groups held the implicit gender stereotypes on low competence and warmth of boys,and high warmth of girls,while girls with 12-13 years held the implicit gender stereotypes on low warmth and competence of boys,and high competence and warmth of girls.Conclusion: The implicit gender stereotypes on warmth and competence in children show obvious gender differences and are not consistent with those in adults.
