Objective: To study the impact of cyber victimization and self-control on deviant behavior in adolescents. Methods: By cluster sampling, Adolescents Cyber Victimization Questionnaire, TraditionalVictimizationQuestionnaire, De-viant Behavior Questionnaire and Self-Control Questionnaire were administered to 889 adolescents attending junior and se-nior high school in Henan and Hebei Province. Results: ① The prevalence of cyber victimization in adolescents was 41.9%, The prevalence of cyber victimization for boys(47.3%) was significantly higher than girls(38.0%)(χ2=7.55,P <0.01). ②After controlling the effects of traditional victimization, cyber victimization predicted deviant behavior positively(β=0.24, P <0.01). ③Self-control moderated the effects of cyber victimization on deviant behavior in boys(β=-0.21,P <0.01), but not girls(β=0.06,P >0.05). Conclusion: In adolescents, cyber victimization has significant influences on deviant behavior, and this effect may be buffered by self-control.
