<p><b>Objective</b>:To understand the change of cogn itive function in type Ⅰand Ⅱschizophrenic patients after Clozapine treatment.<b>Methods</b>:Forty-six four-week during free patients met with the criteria of schizop hrenia were included in this study .Twenty-eight of these patients were diagnosed as type Ⅱshizophrenia. WCST, SAPS , SANS and PANSS were used to assess these patients before and after eight weeks Clozapine treatment. <strong>R esults</strong>:Total trails to four categories (TT), Persistent error s (PE) and non-persistent errors (NPE) of WCST improved significantly after Clozapine treatment. <b>Conclusion</b>:The results revealed significant cognitive defi cits in type Iand II schi zophrenic patients, which were significantly improved by clozaoine treatment.</p>
